Case study – business brokerage
From buyer briefing to a closed acquisition.
A Canadian business brokerage was retained by a healthcare operator to find staffing businesses to acquire. AI agents built by Analyst3 built the target list, ran the outreach behind the brokerage's brand and put owners in front of its advisor. The first acquisition has closed, and a second, larger one is in offer.

The situation
A capitalized buyer, and a search to run.
The buyer – the owner of a 25-year, values-driven Canadian healthcare organization – retained the brokerage to find established healthcare staffing businesses as the first acquisitions in a multi-target roll-up. The buyer was ready to move, so the constraint was the search itself: finding the right owners, reaching them credibly, and keeping outreach running in volume alongside the brokerage's sell-side book.
- Clinical and non-clinical staffing – PSWs, RPNs and RNs
- 10–100 employees, primarily in Ontario
- Reputation-conscious owners who respond to specific, credible outreach
- A buyer ready to act as soon as the right conversations started
What went live
A buy-side search, run by AI agents.
Targets researched, not scraped
Agents worked from a broad universe of Canadian healthcare companies down to 91 that matched on service type, size, geography and ownership. Every company on the final list had a verified decision-maker before anyone was contacted.
The brokerage's voice on every touch
A multi-touch email sequence written for each business, physical letters to prime recipients and phone follow-up, all under the brokerage's brand. The brokerage reviewed the scripts before outreach began.
From reply to booked meeting
Agents triaged every reply, captured context and timing, and booked qualified owners into the advisor's calendar with a briefing on the business ahead of the call.
The advisor stays in front
Every owner conversation, valuation and negotiation stayed with the brokerage. The agents ran the research and outreach behind it.

What came next
The buyer came back for more.
After the first close, the buyer extended the search into a second mandate covering healthcare staffing, home health and long-term care across a wider Canadian footprint. The same agents built the wider list and have reached 339 more owners so far, with nothing rebuilt from scratch.
Why it matters
A search that runs again.
A search that repeats
The research, list and outreach engine carried straight into the follow-on mandate, so the second search started where the first left off.
The advisor's time stays on deals
The research, writing and follow-up happen without the advisor. What reaches them is an owner who fits, already briefed.
The brand never goes out unsupervised
Outreach runs in the brokerage's voice, on scripts it has reviewed, with the brokerage in every owner conversation.
